Annual Food & Toy Drive

Every year, the Steger Kiwanis Club organizes a food & toy drive for families in need.  In 2015, over 200 baskets were handed out.   This effort would not be possible without the generosity of the Village of Steger, our community members and many local businesses & organizations.

The 2016 food drive kicks off with the Santa Parade on Saturday, November 26^th. All nonperishable food items can be left at the curb by 9 am, and they will be picked up by Santa and his helpers.  If you wish to donate early or cannot leave your donations at the curb, please drop them off at Old Plank Trail Community Bank before December 15.

Christmas on the Boulevard

The Chamber of Commerce will be selling Christmas trees for decorating and display on Halsted Boulevard. Contact the Chamber of Commerce to purchase one for your family.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Steger’s Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on November 26, 2016.
